Carol-Anne’s lifelong love for nature began in Rhodesia and South Africa, where childhood camping trips in Kruger sparked a passion for the wild.
She became a safari guide in 1985, defying gender norms, and has since led countless adventures—from trekking the Sahara to exploring the world’s most breathtaking landscapes. Through guiding, photography, and stargazing, she shares the raw beauty and ‘edge’ of Africa, inspiring others to connect with its untamed spirit.
Colette
Born in Port Elizabeth, South Africa, Colette's love for the country runs deep—from childhood camping trips in Kruger to exploring hidden gems across the land. Her journey has taken her from the Karoo’s vast plains to the Cape’s whale-filled waters, sharing unforgettable moments with wildlife and nature.
Now based in New Zealand, she is passionate about bringing others to experience the magic of South Africa with Azani African Tours.
